Attention all PSDC members: The PSDC Summer Campout will be held July 30, 31, & August 1, 2021 at the Twin Streams Campground in Morris, Pa.
All camping & cabin reservations must be made with the campground. The number for the campground is 570-353-7251. The campground will only hold the cabins and campsites for the club for a limited amount of time, please make your reservations as soon as possible.

Once again it will be held at Twin Streams Campground, in Beautiful Tioga County, very close proximity to the breathtaking PA Grand Canyon! The mountainous view from the campground alone is Beautiful!!!
This is a great opportunity for people and dogs interested in mushing to try it out safely! Equipment, harnesses, and helpful mushers will be on hand! Know someone with a pet Husky or a dog that likes to run and pull???

Tentative Event Schedule:
Friday 7/30 – Registration
5 PM – Social (meet & greet) – dining hall area – bring your own beverages / snacks
7:30 – Board meeting (physical location / Zoom meeting info to be announced)
Saturday 7/31
7 – 8:30 AM Breakfast – Dining hall - reservations suggested. Scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, hash browns, toast, coffee, and orange Juice.
8 – 9:30 AM Calcutta – Dining hall
This is an opportunity to Bid, on your favorite team and possibly win some money! The team and driver is announced, the bidding begins and when the bidding is closed, a handicap is drawn (1-5 seconds). This number is then subtracted from the driver’s time! Money is given to the winning bidders in each category.
All monies must be paid before start of Race.
10:00 – Drag Race – with bikes, scooters, gigs, or runners (canicross) – pulled by sled dogs of various breeds Spectators Welcome! (Dog trucks can be brought and parked near the store)
11:00? The Lead Dog Competition invented by Natalie Norris! (Immediately following drag race) This will be a timed contest, where the driver guides a single leader around a three-barrel course by voice commands only.
12:00 – 1:00 Lunch – On your own. Walk around, meet the “mushers,” see racing equipment, training, breeds, questions / answers
All day – => Silent auction items out for bidding in dining hall. (Bidding closes at 7: 00 PM)
1:00 PM –Activity – Pooper-Scooper Contest for Kids of All Ages
Speaker - $10 per person. Registration or payment at door required. Children under 12 free
2:00 PM – For our Speaker this year, we are expecting to have Urtha Lenharr, who was a 1991 Iditarod finisher & is the president of the Seppala House Project in Nome, Alaska!
6:00 PM – Community Dinner & GAG Awards! – dining hall

$9 (Platter includes½ grilled chicken, corn on the cob, and baked beans) (Reservations required)
Bring a dish/ dessert to share as well as serving utensil.
Provide your own beverages.
Plates, & Utensils will be available.
All welcome to join covered dish dinner, but must have reservations for Chicken/ corn platter.
(After dinner, please take you dish / serving utensil, otherwise it will be thrown out.)
