2019 PSDC FALL CAMP OUT SCHEDULE

NOTICE: No parking or dog tie outs on the parade field in front of the dining hall! (Area will be marked "No Parking") Please clean up after dogs and fill in holes! Thank you!

FRIDAY October 18, 2019

  • Trails open for training  - DOT approved helmets required when riding ATVs (for training ONLY)

  • Registration

  • 5:30 – 9 :00 PM  Dinner on your own 

  • 7:30 pm - Board meeting

SATURDAY  October 19, 2019

  • 7:00  - 8:30 AM Breakfast $6 / person (under 3 free)

    • Pancakes, sausage, eggs, orange juice, coffee. Reservations suggested.

  • 8:30 - 12:00 PM  beginners mushers Training Session at Camp.   For those wishing longer trails, Elaine Bartholomew will oversee a training at Pinchot State Forest – about 9 miles from camp. (2 ½ mile trail and  5-6 mile trail available)

    • DOT approved helmets required when riding ATVs (for training ONLY)

    • Run your dogs – experienced mushers will be around to help you learn how to harness, how to safely hook up and some training tips

  • Noon – Lunch

    • Soup, sandwich, soda & dessert available for sale.  Proceeds go to 2019-  2020 Race Purses

  • All day - Silent Auction (bidding closes at 8:00pm)

  • 1:00 – 2:30  PM –  Mmaking neck lines 

  • 1:00 – 2:30 PM – Question on beginning mushing, gig use and safety, basic first aid, dressing for warmth

  • 3:00 – 4:30 PM -  Fall general membership meeting

  • Jr Activity available during afternoon

  • 6:00 PM – Turkey Dinner - $15/ person (under 3 free)

    • Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, green bean casserole, Cranberry sauce, apple Crisp, pumpkin pie. Vegetarian option available if requested on registration. Bring your own beverage!

  • 7:30 PM -  Silent Auction Ends 

  • 7: 45 PM - Murder mystery 

  • 9:00 PM – Evening  social continues around indoor fire place  

SUNDAY  October 20, 2019

  • 8:00 - 9:30 AM Breakfast – $6 / person  (under 3 free)

    • French toast , eggs made to order, bacon, orange juice, coffee & tea – reservations suggested

  • Training  - DOT approved helmets required when riding ATVs (for training ONLY.)

  • Dining Hall Clean Up – After Breakfast - Volunteers Needed and Greatly Appreciated!
